Vizard alternative for streamers: what's different

For streamers, the main differences from Vizard are that Clipscrybe takes Twitch and Kick links directly rather than needing an upload, uses the audio as well as the transcript to find reactions, crops with the facecam on top and the game below, and sells extra hours as tokens that don't expire.

Where Vizard fits

Vizard does a solid job on uploaded video, especially talking-head content, webinars and recorded meetings. Its clip picker reads the transcript, its captions are good, and the editor is reasonable. If that's what you make, it may already be the right tool and this page won't change your mind.

Streamers run into a different set of problems, and that's what this page is about.

What's different for streams

The source

Vizard works from an uploaded file or a YouTube link. A Twitch or Kick VOD has to be downloaded first, which for a three-hour stream is a lot of waiting and disk. Clipscrybe takes the twitch.tv/videos/... or kick.com/.../videos/... link and cuts the clips straight from the stream. It takes YouTube links and dropped video files too.

How moments are found

A transcript-only picker is fine for a webinar, where the good bits are sentences. On a stream, the best moment is often a reaction with no quotable line. Clipscrybe marks where the audio gets loud and treats a loud stretch as a strong sign of something worth clipping, starting the clip a few seconds early so the build-up is in.

The crop

Generic face-tracking on a stream layout either zooms into a tiny webcam or loses the face. In Clipscrybe you mark the facecam once and every clip puts you on top and the game below, in 9:16.

Clips per video

A long stream has more than a handful of usable moments. Pro cuts up to 15 clips from one video, lets you choose the number, length and topic, and lets you swap any clip for a different moment. Thumbs up or down teaches the picker what you like.

Hours and money

At the time of writing, Vizard's Creator plan is about $29 a month for 600 minutes of uploaded video, which is about 10 hours, with the allowance resetting each month. Clipscrybe's Pro plan is £19.99 a month for 15 hours, Premium Plus is £27.99 for 30 hours, and extra hours are sold as tokens that never expire. There are also lifetime options and a Commercial plan for teams and agencies on quote.

What's the same

Word-by-word captions in several styles (Pop, Bold, Karaoke, Clean, Neon, One word), auto editing with jump cuts and punch-in zooms, face-tracking, hook lines and posting captions for TikTok, Shorts and Reels, a brand kit, AI voiceover, and a prompt box where you describe the edit you want.

What Vizard has that Clipscrybe doesn't

Vizard has a more complete timeline editor and some team features. If you do a lot of hand-editing after the AI pass, a fuller editor is a real advantage. Clipscrybe's manual editor is deliberately simple: you move where the clip is cut and tap words to remove them. It's enough for most stream clips; it's not a replacement for a full editor.

Try it on one stream

Paste the link to your last stream into clipscrybe.com. The Free plan gives you 2 hours of video a month (videos up to 30 minutes), your best clips from each video, and a download with no watermark on a free account. If the facecam crop and the captions are right on your layout, the rest follows.

Questions

Do I have to upload my VOD?

No. Paste the Twitch, Kick or YouTube link. You can also drop a video file if that's what you have.

Does Clipscrybe have a free plan?

Yes. 2 hours of video a month, up to 30 minutes a video, 5 videos a day, every caption style, and no watermark on a free account.

What about videos that aren't streams?

They work the same way. Paste a YouTube link or drop the file. The stream-specific features (facecam box, reaction detection) are simply not needed.

Are the Vizard prices on this page current?

They're correct at the time of writing. Check Vizard's own pricing page for the latest, and the Clipscrybe pricing page for ours.
