How to turn a Kick stream into clips (the easy way)
Copy the link to your Kick past broadcast, paste it into Clipscrybe, and it finds the best moments, cuts them from the stream, captions them and gives you vertical clips to download.
Kick has a clipping problem
Kick's own clip button makes a short clip of the live stream, in the stream's shape, with no captions. That's fine for sharing in chat. It's not a TikTok. For that you need a vertical crop, captions, and someone to go through the whole broadcast afterwards and find the moments that make sense without context.
Most clip tools are built for podcasts and YouTube uploads, and either don't accept a Kick link at all or make you download the VOD and upload it. Kick VODs can be several gigabytes. Clipscrybe takes the Kick link directly.
Step by step
Copy the past-broadcast link
On your Kick channel, open Videos and pick the stream. Copy the address from the browser bar; it looks like
kick.com/yourname/videos/.... Kick clip links work too.Paste it into Clipscrybe
Go to clipscrybe.com and paste. No download, no upload. Clipscrybe reads the stream's audio and cuts only the seconds each clip needs.
Wait for the moments
A long stream takes a few minutes to transcribe. Each clip is scored and placed on a map of the stream, with a hook line and a posting caption. Pro lets you ask for a topic, like “the bits where chat went mad”.
Set the facecam
Draw a box around your camera once. Every clip then shows you on top and the game below. Without a camera, face-tracking is skipped and the crop follows the action.
Caption, check, download
Pick a caption style, turn auto edit on for jump cuts and zooms, add a hook, download. Post the clip with the suggested caption on TikTok, Shorts or Reels.
What works well on Kick streams
- Reactions. Clipscrybe listens for where the audio gets loud: shouting, laughing, a big play. A loud stretch counts as a strong sign that something happened, and the clip starts a few seconds before it so the viewer gets the build-up.
- Complete thoughts. A rant or a story that makes sense without the rest of the stream scores higher than a moment that needs explaining.
- Chat moments. If you read chat out loud, those lines are in the transcript, so “the funniest chat interactions” works as a topic on Pro.
What to check
Watch each clip once before posting. The picker can't know that a moment only made sense because of what happened an hour earlier, or that you'd rather a particular bit stayed on the VOD. That check is thirty seconds a clip and it's the whole quality control.
Game names, usernames and slang are the words a transcript gets wrong most. Open each clip once and read the captions. Tap a word in the transcript to cut it, or move the start and end in the manual editor. Thumbs down a clip the picker shouldn't have chosen and it adjusts for your next stream.
Hours matter if you stream most days. Free is 2 hours of video a month with a 30-minute limit per video, so it's for trying one short stream. Pro gives 15 hours a month with no per-video limit and up to 15 clips a stream; Premium Plus gives 30. Extra hours are sold as tokens that don't expire, so a long weekend of streaming doesn't force you onto a bigger plan.
