Clipscrybe Guides

How to post clips within an hour of ending your stream

Paste the VOD link the moment the stream ends, let the moments be found while you pack up, spend ten minutes choosing and checking three clips, and post them with the captions it writes for you.

Why the first hour matters

A clip posted the same evening gets shared by the people who were in chat, who remember the moment and want to show someone. The same clip three days later is a clip from a stream nobody remembers. You don't need to be first; you need to be quick enough that the context is still alive.

The reason most streamers don't post same-day is that the process takes two hours: download the VOD, scrub it, crop, caption, export. Remove those steps and ten minutes is realistic.

The routine

  1. Turn on VOD saving before you go live

On Twitch, Settings → Stream → Store past broadcasts. On Kick, make sure past broadcasts are kept. Without a saved VOD there's nothing to clip.

  2. Paste the link the moment you end

Open clipscrybe.com, paste the past-broadcast link, pick your preset (on Pro: number of clips, length, topic) and start it. Then go and pack up. The transcription runs on its own and the project is saved to your dashboard.

  3. Cull the shortlist (5 minutes)

Come back to a map of scored moments. Watch each once. Thumbs down the ones you wouldn't post so the picker learns. Pick three. If a clip is close but mistimed, move the cut points or swap it for a different moment.

  4. Check captions and the first second (3 minutes)

Read the captions on each of the three; fix names by tapping a wrong word. Choose a hook line for the opening second. Your caption style and brand kit are already applied if you've set them.

  5. Download and post (2 minutes)

Download the three clips. Copy the posting caption written for TikTok, Shorts and Reels. Post one to each, or stagger them over the evening.

Setting up so it's fast every time

A note on hours

If you stream four times a week for three hours, that's about 50 hours a month. Pro's 15 hours or Premium Plus's 30 won't cover all of it, and that's fine: clip the streams that had moments, not every stream. Extra hours are sold as tokens that never expire, so a big week doesn't force a plan change. The pricing page has the current numbers.

What to post

Three clips is enough. One reaction, one story or rant, one that shows what the stream is about. Put the reaction on TikTok and Shorts, the story on Reels, and don't post all three to every platform at once. The posting caption is written for you; change the first line so it sounds like you.

Questions

Can I start clipping before the stream is saved?

No. Twitch and Kick need to finish saving the broadcast first, which is usually a few minutes after you end. Then paste the link.

Does it post the clips for me?

No. You download the clip and post it yourself. The posting caption for TikTok, Shorts and Reels is written for you to paste.

How long does the transcription take for a long stream?

A few minutes, depending on the queue. Pro goes to the front. You can leave and come back; the project is saved.

Does this work on the free plan?

Yes, for streams up to 30 minutes and 2 hours of video a month. Full-length streams need Pro or Premium Plus.
